Recombinant vaccines - right molecule, right place, right time? - 12th March 2010
This meeting will explore both candidate discovery and the tools for delivering vaccines effectively
The meeting will be held at The BioPark, Hertfordshire, UK and has CPD approval. The chair will be : Dr Alasdair Nisbet, Moredun Research Institute, UK
"Huge technological advances have been made recently in the genomic and post-genomic analyses of pathogens and disease. To exploit these advances for the production of successful recombinant vaccines we need strategies to select appropriate molecules and to deliver them appropriately to stimulate protective immune responses. This meeting will explore both candidate discovery and the tools for delivering vaccines effectively". Meeting Chair: Dr Alasdair Nisbet, Moredun Research Institute, UK
Development of recombinant vaccines against nematode species of ruminants Professor Jacqui Matthews, Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh
Methods for delivery of GM vaccines to stimulate appropriate, protective responses Dr David JM Lewis, St George's Hospital, UK
Can Mucosal Vaccines make Needles a Thing of the Past? Dr. Valerie Ferro, University of Strathclyde, Scotland
Additional Confirmed Speakers:
